Common Measures

ETA is committed to performance evaluation, accountability, and improvement. One way of evaluating and improving performance is to have common performance measures for programs with similar goals. Common measures streamline performance evaluation by defining the core purpose of the workforce system and giving states the flexibility to collect and report on consolidated performance data. ETA and VETS have worked to define common measures, and as of July 1, 2005, these measures were implemented for the WIA Title IB, Wagner-Peyser employment services, and VETS programs. The Trade Adjustment Assistance program implemented the common measures on October 1, 2005.
